Ginger pickle/ Allam pachadi is a very popular, authentic, spicy pickle from the Andhra cuisine. Ginger is widely used in Asian and Indian cuisine and is also known to have many health benefits. It is prepared by grating already peeled ginger and is then mixed with tamarind pulp and jaggery and seasoned with mustard seeds. Ginger pickle is lipsmacking which goes well with idli, dosa, pesarattu and tastes good with plain rice/curd rice and a tsp of ghee.
